Boost Your Brain & Memory is an evidence-based program developed by Mather Lifeways Institute on Aging. It is designed to help participants learn and practice the most promising strategies to keep the brain healthy with aging. This program is a whole person approach to brain fitness. Sessions include information about the impact of physical fitness, emotional health, social engagement, nutrition, and spirituality on brain health.
Content is presented via video and class discussion. The class is limited to 12 participants and is low-key, friendly and supportive. Participants are encouraged to set goals and share their own experience and knowledge. The sessions include healthy practices to help with memory, organizational skills, attention, stress reduction, and ways to reduce the risk of dementia. Participants are requested to commit to at least 6 of the 8 scheduled sessions.
This program is intended for older adults who do not have diagnosed dementia. It is recommended for adults who are motivated to protect and enhance their mind's capacities.
